This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Business and Economics to assume a leadership role as Head of this thriving department.

You will lead, manage and develop the Business and Economics department and curriculum, managing a strong departmental team that strives for excellence in teaching and learning. You will undertake operational and strategic planning on behalf of the department, by formulating, maintaining and developing objectives and plans that support pupil needs and underpin the strategic plans of the school.

In addition to this, you will also plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons, as well as play a key role in the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and outreach programmes.

About you

We are looking for an experienced teacher with an excellent track record of Business and Economics teaching at secondary level, who has some experience of management (albeit not necessarily as a Head of Department). You will need to be an accomplished teacher who can deliver enthusiastic and engaging lessons, using your strong subject knowledge to inspire students.

Personal Assistant to the Bursar

Emanuel School is looking for an experienced and organised administrator to play a key role providing PA support to the Bursar.

You will provide a high standard of administrative and management support to the Bursar, managing their diary, appointments and travel arrangements, as well as preparing routine correspondence, producing agendas and taking minutes at key meetings (including Governors’ finance and buildings meetings). You will also be expected to provide a high standard of administrative support to other senior school staff, including the Acting Bursar/Head of Finance.

In addition to your PA responsibilities, you will line manage the Resources Officer and Reception staff, providing cover during absences and overseeing the appraisal, induction and probation processes.
